Flamingo Land in North Yorkshire is to install Monkwood Technologies' cell phone-based ‘Virtual Queuing’ system.
Introducing the system at the theme park, zoo and holiday resort means that guests won’t have to queue to ride most of the venue’s popular attractions. When their turn comes - a wristband provided at entry having initially been scanned - they are automatically contacted on their mobile phone.
From the operators point of view, the system offers increased utilisation of the facilities available with guests free to explore the park and the zoo, take other rides or visit shops and restaurants, rather than standing around in queues.
Supplier: Monkwood Technologies Ltd ReadingBerkshireUK Rather than waiting in a physical queue, use your mobile phone to join a virtual queue and be called to the queue when you are virtually at the front. Web: www.cellq.com
