O2 Academy venues throughout the UK, all of which host a variety of events, including concerts and other live gigs, have purchased specialist evacuation chairs from Evac+Chair.
The chairs will assist in the safe descent of those individuals unable to navigate stairs in an emergency.
The chairs have been supplied by evacuation specialist Evac+Chair International and will benefit - amongst others - individuals with physical disabilities, pregnant women and the elderly.
Mark Wallace, managing director of Evac+Chair International said: "We're delighted to have helped facilitate the means for safe evacuation within O2 Academy venues throughout the UK."
The company has also worked with other high profile venues such as Reading FC, Twickenham FC and the Yas Marina Motorsport Circuit in Abu Dhabi.
